I’m Mark. I am the owner and operator of ToneGood here in Urbana, IL. I’ve been playing loud music in Central Illinois, and across the nation for 24 years. I’ve been recording music for about the same amount of time. I went to Southern IL University for Audio Production. I interned at Engine Studios in Chicago and worked with a ton of cool folks. I moved to Champaign and bugged Matt Talbott about recording at his studio and one day he gave me some keys to Earth Analog. I freelance there for time to time.
In 2017 I started recording bands and artists in my basement/ turned recording studio. In 2019 I outgrew the home studio situation and moved in to our current location in downtown Urbana. We are surrounded by wonderful local businesses owned by even more wonderful real life humans. It really is something special.
My true passion is homegrown midwestern indie rock bands, but I record and truly love any kind of music.
